All students of the institution are required to strictly adhere to the following rules and regulations. These guidelines are designed to maintain discipline, ensure a conducive learning environment, and safeguard the welfare of all students.
1. General Conduct
1.1. Every student must abide by the college’s rules of conduct, which are intended to protect their own interests as well as those of fellow students. These rules are subject to change without prior notice.
1.2. Ignorance of any rule shall not be accepted as an excuse for its violation.
1.3. Students must check the college Notice Board daily before leaving the campus to stay updated with important instructions.
2. Discipline and Decorum
2.1. Students are expected to behave in a respectful and disciplined manner with all staff and fellow students.
2.2. Faculty members and college staff are authorized to maintain discipline within and outside the institution. Students must comply with their instructions.
2.3. Loud talking, loitering, or forming groups in corridors that disturb others is strictly prohibited.
3. Prohibited Activities
3.1. Consumption of alcohol, smoking, and use of any intoxicants is strictly banned within the institution and hostel premises.
3.2. Late arrival or early departure from class will be marked as an absence for that period.
3.3. Tampering with any apparatus, or entering unauthorized departments or areas, is considered misconduct.
3.4. Students do not have any supervisory authority over institutional employees.
4. Equipment and Practical Work
4.1. Survey instruments, tools, and other apparatus must be handled with care and returned in proper condition after use.
4.2. Any damage or malfunction must be immediately reported to the concerned authority.
4.3. Participation in educational visits or industrial tours arranged by the institute is mandatory, unless officially exempted by the Principal. A report of the visit must be submitted within 15 days.
5. Safety and Responsibility
5.1. Students must observe all safety precautions in classrooms, workshops, laboratories, and the hostel.
5.2. The institute will not be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, or loss/damage to personal property on campus.
5.3. Students are advised to deposit cash only with the post office, bank, or the institution’s cashier via their Smart Card. The institute will not be responsible for theft or loss of money kept elsewhere.
6. Academic Performance
6.1. Students are expected to show commitment and diligence in their studies.
6.2. Neglect of academic work or poor progress will result in two warnings. Continued unsatisfactory performance may lead to expulsion from the institute.
7. Misconduct and Penalties
7.1. Any behavior that disturbs campus harmony, persistent academic negligence, or failure to follow official notices will be dealt with strictly.
7.2. Penalties may include fines, suspension, or even expulsion, at the discretion of the Principal.
8. Identity and Societies
8.1. Students will be issued Identity Cards/Smart Cards at the time of admission upon payment.
8.2. Loss of the card must be reported immediately. A new card will be issued upon payment of a fine.
8.3. No student society or club may be formed without prior written permission from the Principal.
9. Authority
9.1. In all matters related to administration, discipline, and regulation, the decision of the Principal shall be final and binding.
